Fuorisalone 2021

"Matter becomes design": this is the theme of Fuorisalone 2021; it's also the question about how the design can help save the planet. One of the answers is the Ponti 940 in Resysta (from rice husk) designed and produced by BBB.

At the Zakuro Restaurant, in Via Vincenzo Monti 16, Design Italy presents its exhibition. BBB will contribute with two products from its collection to set up the outdoor space: the Ponti 940 chair designed by Gio Ponti and the Mediolanum table designed by his son Giulio Ponti and Studio Ideazione.

The Ponti 940 chair is presented here in 5 different lacquer versions and coordinated seats in combination with the Mediolanum tables. The chromatic effects thus emphasize the classic shapes of the chair, enhancing the context. The Ponti 940 chair is part of the iconic BBB collection which includes products that are an important heritage of design history, like Muu chair by Harri Koskinen (distributed by BBB), awarded in 2004 with the Compasso D’Oro and included in the recently inaugurated design museum, stands out.

Built with rice grains: the Gio Ponti 940 in Resysta

The 940 Chair by Gio Ponti will also be presented in the new version for the outdoors, built in Resysta (The 940 in Resysta is made using a material obtained from the husk of rice (shell of the grain), perfectly eco-sustainable and made for withstand the action of atmospheric agents and remain unchanged even after immersion in brackish water. The 940 in Resysta has the same semblance of wood, the same tactile sensation, it is impervious and fireproof and therefore is ideal for all outdoor uses).

Largo Richini

Throughout September, until October 5, in Largo Richini in Milan, BBB will present products that have made great the brand and are still design icons. The event takes place in collaboration with Solutions, a lights design company led by the creative Andrea Brunamonti who will propose the innovative LUDICA in addition to its other well known lamp models.
