Designed by Marco Piva in 2001. Plan is made with a solid ash structure and shell in multilayer ash. The seat is reinforced with elastic belts and padded with polyurethane foam. The shell is padded directly on the frame. The multilayer shell is fixed on the solid frame by steel tie rods and metal plates. The foot reinforcements are made of painted aluminium square tube. Standard and sample finishes. UV resistant nonscratch paint.

“La seduta Plan rappresenta un approccio di design deciso nelle forme ma al contempo elegante e raffinato, con dettagli di altissimo livello di sartorialità, che offre il massimo di confort e di espressività.”
(Marco Piva)

The main characteristic of the Plan chair, designed by Marco Piva for public spaces, is the use of multilayer, a warm material that adapts to any type of production. The finishes are in ash or wenge with satin-finish aluminium detail on the leg tips, while the upholstery is made of leather or fireproof fabric, creating an elegant original contrast of textures.

The curved backrest, with linear slits highlighting the softness of the fabric, envelops and “protects”, forming practically one single unit with the seat element, resulting in a product guided by principles of comfort and safety. Plan has a simple design but extreme flexibility of use in many different contexts. It features a spacious comfortable seat, achieved via careful study of form and dimensions, which perfectly meets the ergonomic needs, aesthetics and technical requirements of contemporary living.
